Wardrobe Malfunctions

If “modesty” is what comes to mind when you hear the word “clothing” in reference to the Bible… you’re in for a surprise! In fact, wardrobe malfunctions play a significant role in the bigger story of clothing and Scripture. In our kickoff season of Gospel Threads, we’re talking about Clothing—a theme that teaches us the Gospel. It also shows up way earlier—and far more often—than you might expect. Starting in Genesis, we see how trying to up-stage our Creator leads to epic disaster.

Along the way, we’ll explore how tracing themes helps us read the Bible with fresh eyes. We’ll also notice how the Gospel is stitched into the simplest parts of life.

Show Notes (Passages):
Genesis 2–3
Ephesians 4:24
Revelation 19:7–9
Revelation 21:2
